Explore London by night and raise money for people with cancer
For the ninth year Open House are working in parternship with Maggie’s to deliver this fantastic event, which launches the Open House London weekend of activity. The event brings together both organisations appreciation of architecture in a unique way and raises vital funds for Maggie’s Centres.
Bigger and better than ever before, why not rally together friends, family and colleagues to join Maggie’s London Night Hike in 2013?
Up to 2000 people will take to the streets of late-night London to support Maggie’s on 20 September by walking a 10 mile or 20 mile route through the capital and see fantastic architecture by night.
Hikers will enjoy exclusive night-time access to some of the city’s top architectural spaces including The EDF Energy London Eye, Maggie’s West London Centre and many more. With food, drink and live music it will be a Friday night to remember!

Why?
Every year more than 5,300 people in London are diagnosed with cancer. Statistics show that one in every three people in the UK will be affected by cancer at some point in their lifetime. Taking part in Maggie’s London Night Hike is a fantastic way to raise funds to support Maggie's newest centre here in London, as well as plans to extend their network of support throughout the UK over the next few years.
In 2012 London Night Hikers raised a fantastic £615,800 which could pay for a Maggie’s Centre to open its doors to a community for a whole year.
Maggie’s second centre in London will be Maggie’s Barts in the grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Steven Holl Architects will carry out the design. Our partnership with Maggie's promotes the importance of the built environment on our well being.
How to Register
Online registration will open on Wednesday 10 April. You can pre-register online right now and we’ll send you a text to remind you about full registration opening.
Registration fees
10 mile event: £35 per person (£30 with OPENHOUSE discount)
20 mile event: £40 per person (£35 with OPENHOUSE discount)
Friends and family of Open House can receive a £5 discount off the standard registration fee. To receive this discount just enter the promotion code OPENHOUSE when you register online.
We ask participants to commit to a minimum sponsorship pledge:
10 mile event: £185 per person
20 mile event: £285 per person
